With the keynote at this year’s CES taking place tonight, Microsoft was on hand to introduce some new tech. The item that I was really interested in seeing was the slate. I had been hearing some rumors that the input options were going to be bluetooth keyboard/mouse, multitouch display and stylus pen. Turns out that it looks just like a repackaged Kindle that runs a Windows OS. Kind of a let down. In fact, the ‘teaser’ video is a total let down.
You finish watching it and you wonder what the hell you just watched! Anyway, I’ll keep my ears open and pass along more information on this as it becomes available, but for now, this is it. We’ll just wait with baited breath to see what Apple releases at the end of the month. Hopefully it’s an amazing little piece of tech that will be a nice reader, entertainment device, notepad, web surfer. More on that, when it becomes fact and not fiction.
