So the other day I signed up to run in a 5k for our office challenge. Today was the first day I have ran quite a long time. I figured that I should probably do some prep work so I wouldn’t keel over next week while in the midst of the 5k. It wasn’t all bad. I mean, I am out of shape a little but I didn’t need to stop and walk at all or feel as though my heart was going to beat right out of my chest, so there is that. I’ll probably go out and do it again a few times before the big run and probably keep it up after. I mean, I’ve been trying to get back in shape for quite some time and the more exercises I do, the more areas of my body I’ll work. So, with the 5k, what is a good time for a novice to run that in? Should I be just happy to finish?
